Team to Beat in the Youth Soccer Ranks

Washington Premier FC has been a force to be reckoned with in the WSYSA for the last couple of years now. But recently they have grown to become one of the premier teams in the country. One of my favorite teams to watch is WPFC 95 boys. Under direction of one of the most capable coaches around, Jimmy McAllister, they have grown into their boots and torn up the competition.

Nine ODP (olympic development program) players call this their home team. Three of them commute all the way from Vancouver to play on this well seasoned team. Five of which represent the Region IV ODP team. WPFC 95 also has an impressive trophy case including two state championships and a semi finals appearance in the Far West Regional Championships.

One of my favorite players on the pitch is up and coming Sam Gomez. An incredibly smart center midfielder, he has an eye for assists and can be deadly if you give him a chance to shoot from distance. Keep an eye out for him if you have a chance to watch WPFC or a Washington State ODP match.

Try to see a match this season! You'll want to be able to tell your friends while you watch the world sup in a few years that you had seen these players play when they were still youngsters. Their schedule can be found at the link found on the blogs sidebar.
